Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you ("you") and Zhuyuan (individual developer, operating as Nonzero Lab; "we", "us") governing your use of ColdRead (the app, the website coldread.win and related cloud services, together the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

ColdRead is a chart-reading trainer: it hides the instrument and the dates of a historical price series, lets you step through it bar by bar making trading decisions, then reveals the truth and gives a rule-based diagnosis. The Service is a training and educational tool. It is not investment advice, not a brokerage, and it never places real trades. The in-app "simulated capital" is a display-only paper balance; it cannot be bought, sold or redeemed and represents no real asset.

2. Accounts

• Local training works without an account. Cloud features (sync across devices, AI review, catalog updates) require signing in with an email code or a third-party account (such as Google or Apple).
• You must provide a working email address and keep your credentials safe. Activity under your account is treated as yours.
• An account may be signed in on at most 3 devices at once; remove a device in Settings to add another.

3. Entitlements, purchases and refunds

• The local lifetime entitlement (VIP) is a one-time purchase; cloud features are an annual subscription. Prices are as shown at the time of purchase.
• Purchases are delivered as activation codes; a redeemed code is bound to the account and cannot be transferred.
• Refunds: within 7 days of purchase, if the activation code has not been redeemed and no cloud feature has been used, contact [email protected] for a full refund. Redeemed or used orders are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Subscriptions do not auto-renew unless clearly stated at checkout, in which case you can cancel at any time.
• We may change prices and plan contents; existing entitlements are not affected.

4. Market data

• We do not distribute or host market data. The data you train on is either imported by you from local files or fetched by the app on your device directly from the original provider (for example an exchange's public API). Market data stays on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
• You are responsible for having the right to use the data you import and for complying with the provider's terms.
• The in-app "data catalog" contains only recipes for fetching or importing, never the data itself.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for personal learning. You must not:

• reverse engineer, crack or bypass entitlement checks or activation codes, or resell or share codes or accounts;
• use automation to bulk-call cloud endpoints or interfere with the Service;
• upload unlawful content or content that infringes others' rights (including via in-app messages);
• present the Service's output to others as investment advice.

6. Intellectual property

The software, interface, rule library, copy and trademarks of the Service belong to us. Market data you import and your training records belong to you; to provide cloud sync and AI review you grant us the right to store and process that data to the extent necessary (see the Privacy Policy).

7. AI review

AI reviews are generated by a third-party large language model from a de-identified summary of your session (no real instrument names, no market data). They only explain facts already determined by the rule engine and may contain errors. They are not investment advice.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

• The Service is provided "as is". Past prices do not predict future performance, and training results do not predict real trading results. Real trading decisions and their consequences are yours alone.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, clear local data in Settings, or request account deletion. If you materially breach these Terms we may suspend or terminate your account and entitlements without refund.

10. Changes

We may revise these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email in advance; continued use means acceptance.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the mainland of the People's Republic of China. Disputes will first be resolved by good-faith negotiation, failing which they will be submitted to a competent people's court in Beijing.
